california bans (some) SUVs on residential streets.
his point that if they get tax breaks like trucks, they should be regulated by trucks is a good one. my position on SUVs has long been: let's at least not encourage people to buy them with tax breaks and lower mileage/safety standards. extremely large vehicles impose costs on society (road wear, fuel consumption, safety) -- society has a right to at least not encourage them.
