so i had to put off my start in autocross because i got the infamous VW window problem and couldn't get it fixed right away. i figured it would be a bad idea to be whipping around a parking lot with a window held up only by duct tape (that's official VW dealer repair shop duct tape). on the other hand, tori and i went for a drive up US2 up into the cascades last weekend, and that is a fun road to drive on. some sections of long sweeping curves, and then suddenly you'll hit a straightaway with no one anywhere in sight. i momentarily got lulu up to the highest speed she's ever seen, but i'm generally too worried about cops (not to mention my lack of experience) to open it up. why oh why aren't there places you can go where you can just drive however you want and if you fuck up, on your head be it? (montana?)
