well it tells you something about my social life lately when i say that the following LJers were in attendance at my party last night: auditorium, downlow, elaine_dance, froh, interimlover, jetgirl23, jomarch, keph, lele, lolarennt, maarten, mrrant, olesia, and xmutex. contrary to popular belief, i do know some people without livejournals, and some of them came to the party too. for once, i didn't take pictures but i know somebody did and i'm sure they'll appear eventually.

the party was in celebration of my recent "liberation" (read: layoff), with a sort of workplace/dilbert/office space theme. unfortunately, i could not deliver a red swingline stapler as promised, because they're backordered. instead, the prize was a copy of office space on dvd. i'm not going to try and reproduce the stories here (put them in comments!), but the winner was auditorium for her story about her boss trying to make everybody sign out their pens every morning. congratulations!

another exciting activity at the party was the chocolate chip cookie recipe bake-off. i'll post the recipes and the results a little later, but people were quite surprised to find which cookies they liked best.

i have great friends, even the ones who don't have livejournals (hi tom!). thanks for coming over. we'll have to have at least one more of these before the weather starts to turn wet and cold.
