URL-sharing
Snej comments on del.ico.us, a social URL-sharing site, comparing it to livejournal's friends mechanism (but just for URLs, not full-blown blogs).
As Snej observes, this interestingly separates out the personalities inherent in blogging from the content (in terms of links anyway). I wonder to what extent this will catch on. Will it be used by people who want to share links but have no interest in blogging? bloggers who don't want to litter their blogs with links? My experience, not an uncommon one I think, is of already experiencing a flood of links going by only a fraction of which I actually have time to view and process. A link-sharing tool could help impose some order on this, or it could just make things worse.
