the house is structured in four pieces surrounding the courtyard: kitchen
and dining room on the left, living room on the bottom, master bedroom
above, and other bedrooms on the right.
the kitchen has a laundry room/pantry behind it. the kitchen itself is not
exceptionally large, but has an open feel and a fair amount of work space.
the kitchen opens into the dining room, which is actually more than large
enough for a dining space and additional living space.
the front living room is a large open space. in this plan, it's loosely divided
into an office/studio and an entertainment room by a set of bookshelves.
the master bedroom is a long open room with closets at one end. a hall
leads past the closets, along the courtyard to the bathroom.
the other bedrooms are large square rooms that share a small hallway and
bath.
