Apparently feeling the "information" hierarchy wouldn't work here (did he have the model that it was only about particular manufacturers?), Kurt scanned the main music machines page more carefully.
At this point he noticed the "search the music machines web" link and exclaimed loudly. He followed the broader searching option first and tried searching for "drum machines". No results. He then went to the more comprehensive search option and tried the same thing, with no results.
At one point he said "I wish I knew if this took regular expressions" and then noticed that the page said "Enter a regular expression".
I observed that he had entered a search key with a space in it, and that filenames (he was searching on filenames at that point) were unlikely to contain spaces. But he disregarded my hint and tried "images" hoping to find a picture of a drum machine. But then he realized he had no idea what one might look like. Then he tried "information" again and noticed it had a "drum-machines" subdirectory.
As a check, we went back and searched for "drum" and found the drum-machines directory.
