Gingersnaps
Ingredients
1 c sugar
3/4 c Crisco
1 egg
4 tbsp. molasses
2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp salt
Tools
Mixing bowl
wooden spoon or mixer
sifter
small bowl
cookie sheet
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together the sugar and Crisco. Add the
egg and molasses and beat well. Sift the dry ingredients and add to the
wet mix. Roll into balls about an inch across & dip into a bowl of
granulated sugar. Bake 8-9 minutes. Cookies will be soft & chewy.
